Robert Lawrence Prize

The 1998 Robert Lawrence Prize for the best paper presented at the
ACTR/ARTC annual conference  by an emerging scholar will be shared by
Scott Duchesne (Toronto) for "Mike is the Message: Performing the Common
Sense Revolution" and Paul Malone (Waterloo) for "The Cybergenic Actor
and the Cybernetic Mirror."

The late Robert Lawrence was a founding member of ACTR/ARTC, a professor
of English at The University of Victoria, and a Canadian theatre
scholar. We are grateful to Prof. Lawrence's family for making it
possible to honour him in this manner.
