Theatre du Rideau Vert

On the 17th Canada Post released a stamp in celebration of the
50th anniversary of Theatre du Rideau Vert.  It is a beautiful
and evocative design. (I don't know the name of the artist.) It
combines or overlaps the masks of comedy and tragedy, somewhat
like the cover of *Modern Drama* but less rigidly;  just a trace
of the signature green curtain flows down to create the quasi-
illusion of a proscenium arch.  And if you look closely at the
two masks, you will see that they show sideways views of the
two redoubtable women who founded the theatre.
I wonder who took this initiative . . . It would be a wonder if
CanPost could celebrate the important anniversaries of other theatres
across the country.  The stamps are widely available even though
they were released less than a week ago.
