Gratien Gelinas is gone

Gratien Gélinas died this morning of pulmonary complications after
suffering, the last few years, of Alzheimer's disease. His funeral will be
held Friday (March 19) at Notre Dame Basilica in Old Montreal at 11 am. He
is survived by his wife, actor Huguette Oligny (with whom he performed in
his last play, La Passion de Narcisse Mondoux). The father of Quebec
theatre - a great man - is gone.
