Canoe and canadiantheatre.com strike a deal

The Encyclopedia of Canadian Theatre on the WWW, six months to the day
after it was launched, 13,000 visitors later (and in time for tomorrow's
International Theatre Day), has found a partner which will assure the
site's existance and continued growth for the next two years.

An agreement has been reached with Canoe - a massive Canadian news,
entertainment and sports web site; they have leased the entire contents of
the Encyclopedia. The Encyclopedia will now be accessible via the Canoe
site (www.canoe.ca) as well as, within the next few days, its own domain
name www.canadiantheatre.com.

Negotiations with Canoe were a dream and the technical support they are
affording the Encyclopedia is unheard of for its lucidity.
