Hello Alex, et al:
I too read "Crabdance" with excitement. I am unsure how it would play now,
but given its lack of attention in the intervening years and the
developments in feminist theatre since then, we might find it quite
appealing now. By the by, Beverley Simons made a film of it -- at least as
I remember it was she. That film may still be available.
And thanks to Ric Knowles for pointing to lack of awareness of naturalized
values as more apt than my loose reference to arbitrary ones as a
source of problem. One of the things I find difficult is writing with
precision on the e-waves. I tend to write as quickly as I can, treating
the email as a list of in-box tasks which must be completed so I can get
on to other things.
