Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the rank of
Assistant Professor in the Department of Drama at the University of
Saskatchewan.  The successful candidate will teach courses in directing and
acting and will be expected to direct in the department's mainstage season.
Qualifications include an MFA in Acting or Directing (or its equivalent in
professional experience) and a demonstrated strength in teaching.
Expertise in the area of basic movement for the stage (which can include
knowledge of modern dance, Feldenkrais, Laban, Alexander technique, or
contact improvisation) or in the area of film directing/acting would also
be an asset.

The Department of Drama at the University of Saskatchewan is the oldest
theatre department in the Commonwealth, has a full-time faculty of six with
several additional sessional appointments, and currently offers B.A.,
B.F.A. and M.A. degrees in theatre.  The department's production season
features four mainstage shows from the classical and modern repertory,
including Canadian plays.  Faculty within the department are active in the
flourishing theatre scene in Saskatoon and also in film and radio.
