francophone et francophile (CFF) qui facilitera, à notre avis, la
participation de tous les membres de l'ARTC au comité exécutif.

As promised in Sherbrooke, I am posting the Caucus francophone et
francophile's proposal which will, in our opinion, facilitate the
partcipation of all ACTR members in the executive.

MOTION PROPOSÉE POUR RATIFICATION LORS DE LA PROCHAINE RÉUNION ANNUELLE
DE L’ASSOCIATION DE LA RECHERCHE THÉÂTRALE AU CANADA/ASSOCIATION FOR
CANADIAN THEATRE RESEARCH (ARTC/ACTR)

PROPOSÉE PAR  - Joël Beddows

1.1 Qu’il soit affirmé dans la constitution de l’Association de la
recherche théâtrale au Canada/Association for Canadian Theatre Research
(ARTC/ACTR) que les langues de fonctionnement de l’exécutif de la
susdite association sont le français et l’anglais.

1.2 Cela signifie que toute personne désirant participer et se présenter
en tant que candidate et candidat à l’exécutif doit avoir un bilinguisme
passif.

1.3 Le bilinguisme passif est ici défini comme étant la capacité de
comprendre les deux langues officielles de l’ARTC/ACTR, soit le français
et l’anglais, à l’écrit et à l’oral, sans nécessairement être à l’aise
pour communiquer verbalement dans sa langue seconde.

1.4 Cet amendement a pour but d’assurer que tous les membres de
l’association, qu’ils soient anglophone ou francophone, puissent
participer à l’exécutif de l’ARTC/ACTR.


MOTION PROPOSED FOR RATIFICATION DURING THE NEXT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR CANADIAN THEATRE RESEARCH/L’ASSOCIATION DE LA
RECHERCHE THÉÂTRALE AU CANADA (ACTR/ARTC)

PROPOSED BY – Joël Beddows
SECONDED BY – Ric Knowles

1.1 Let it be affirmed in constitution of the Association de la
recherche théâtrale au Canada/Association for Canadian Theatre Research
(ARTC/ACTR), that the languages of busness of the executive of the
aforementioned association will be French and English.

1.2 This affirmation would necessitate that any persons wishing to
present themselves as a candidate must be passively bilingual;

1.3 Passive bilinguislism is here defined as the ability to understand
both official languages of the ARTC/ACTR, English and French, both
written and spoken, without necessarily being at ease to communicate
verbally in the one’s second language.

1.4. This ammendment aims at assuring that all members of the
association, whether they be anglophone or francophone, may participate
in the executive committee of the ARTC/ACTR.
