University of Windsor - Dramatic Art
Nine-Month Limited-Term Position in Movement for the Actor

The University of Windsor invites applications for a nine-month
limited-term position at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level in
Movement for the Actor for the period August 15, 2000 to May 15, 2001.

Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor is one of the oldest and best
established theatre and drama programs in the country.  Our graduates have
made a mark on both the world stage and in film.  Currently Dramatic Art
offers honours degree programs in Acting, Music Theatre, Drama in Education
and Drama, and a wide ranging subscription season of plays through
University Players that serve the community.  For further information about

within both the University setting and the community.

Responsibilities will include the teaching of movement in the BFA Acting
and Music Theatre programs.  The desired minimum qualifications are a
degree in movement/dance and equivalent professional certification from a
recognized movement/dance program.  Relevant teaching experience at the
university level and demonstrated ability in movement for the actor are
essential.  Additional consideration will be given to candidates with
experience in one or more of the following areas: contact improvisation,
mask, stage combat.
