Lost Canadian play

This is a last ditch attempt to find the name and writer of a rather obscure play written by a Canadian featuring two women and a waxwork - I think the waxwork was a Mountie!  It was performed in the 70s (ish) on the Royal Shakespeare Company fringe, but the actor who directed it can't remember what play it was!  Anyone out there know what it is?
