Tenure -Track Position in Theatre - Lighting Design
Position Description: The University of Windsor's School of Dramatic Art
seeks applications for a tenure-track position in Theatre - Lighting Design
at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing as early as July 1, 2003.
This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
The School of Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor is one of the
oldest and best established theatre and drama programs in the country. Our
graduates have made a mark on both the world stage and in film, and in
education. Currently the School of Dramatic Art offers honours degree
programs in Acting, Drama in Education and Community, and Dramatic Art, and
a wide ranging subscription season of plays through University Players that
serve the community. Plans are under way to institute a degree in

Boundless opportunities exist to explore and expand creative potential
within both the University setting and the community.
Responsibilities will include the teaching of courses in lighting design,
production, stage management, and courses related to individual expertise.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing the lighting and
supervising the sound for all main-stage productions, and supervising
senior student design projects for the main-stage. Drafting experience,
plus organizational and communications skills are required. A working
knowledge of AUTOCAD or similar computer programs will enhance the
candidate's standing. The candidate must have an MFA in Design and teaching
experience at the post-secondary level. Professional experience is also
desired.

and production photos, will be required.
