I don't believe I ever met Patrick O'Neill, but it's clear to me from 
the correspondence I've witnessed today
that he was a dear friend and colleague to many members of the academic 
theatre community, The loss of a good friend and colleague is no
less important to us than a very loved family member, and so I am sorry 
for your loss, especially as it was so unexpected.
