La compagnie internationale Ahuri theatre (Canada, France, Suède, Japon), créée au Japon en 2005, propose deux ateliers de théâtre physique d'inspiration Lecoq, au mois de juin 2007, à Montréal, ainsi qu'à Toronto en juillet 2007.

Les ateliers sont bilingues.

Ahuri Theatre est né de l'initiative de ses six membres fondateurs, tous diplômés de l'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq de Paris en juin 2005. Six cultures et trois continents sont représentés par les membres du collectif, venant de Suède, de France, du Canada francophone (Acadie, Québec) et anglophone (Ontario) ainsi que du Japon. Ils utilisent comme principal moteur de création le mouvement et l'échange culturel. Les ateliers seront offerts par cinq membres de la compagnie, présentement à Montréal dans le cadre d'une nouvelle création présentée aux festivals Fringe de Montréal et Toronto.

Over its two years of existence, Ahuri Theatre has given workshops to over 300 participants for schools, companies and the general public in both Canada and Japan. These workshops were diverse in subject ranging from Physical Theatre to International Business Communication to Physical Approaches to Learning a Language.
