> The Odyssey, directed by Stacy Klein, takes inspiration from Marc Chagall's original lithographs of Homer's epic poem. The audience will follow Odysseus' journey from Calypso's isle and Circe's enchanted halls to the cave of the giant Cyclops, encountering other Greek gods and monsters along the way. The live music score draws on 2,000 years of song and chant traditions from Greece, Albania, and the Mediterranean.
>
> Local visual artist collaborators include Nancy Milliken (wool sails/installations), Hayley Wood (painting/puppets), Cynthia Fisher (mosaics), Rachel Silverman (painting), Lea Chiara (masks), and Nancy Horn (costumes).

> Watch this new documentary about Double Edge directed by acclaimed filmmaker Julie Akeret, with interviews, rehearsal footage and more. The film follows the company as they prepare for their cycle, The Garden of Intimacy and Desire, and also includes rehearsals from the company’s summer spectacle, Arabian Nights, a breathtaking production that uses the company’s extraordinary farm as a set.
>
> In addition to rehearsals and excerpts from final performances, the film includes a variety of interviews with the theater’s creators, collaborating actors, and visiting guest artists who travel from around the world to train and observe at Double Edge. Don't miss it––this month on WGBY.
