Hello all, At last
year's ACTR I sat on a panel discussing graduate school professionalization. It
was quite a valuable conversation that looked at, among other things, the
prospect of a Grad student getting a coveted professorship. 

 Recently
an article in The Nation addressed a similar subject. And the outlook is not rosy.
