Dear colleagues,
Please find attached a pdf containing information about the 2014
panamerican ROUTES/RUTAS panamericanas festival co-produced by Aluna
Theatre and Native Earth Performing Arts at the Daniels Spectrium
cultural hub in Toronto's Regent Park, Feb. 27th to March 8th, 2014.
The event features performances and workshops by some of the most
groundbreaking companies in the Americas, as well as a four-day
conference on performance and human rights in the Americas.
Highlights include an opening keynote address by Diana Taylor,
Professor of Performance Studies, NYU, performances by the acclaimed
Grupo Cultural Yuyachkani, Mapa Teatro, Violeta Luna of La Pocha
Nostra, and new works by Tara Beagan and Aluna Theatre, including a
new verbatim piece of Treaty no. 9.
For those who are unable to join the conference sessions in
person, you can become a virtual audience member by participating in
the live Twitter feeds of our panel sessions at #RUTAS2014.
