The Central and Eastern European Studies Research Group & Studies in Migration Research Group present Ottawa premiere of the internationally acclaimed play from South Africa Cheers to Sarajevo directed by Ashleigh Harvey.  Dedicated to the memory of a city's survival during the interethnic war in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the 1990s, the play thematizes the terrible effects of war and its violence, in particular towards women, and the ways in which war impacts identity formation forcing people into exile, but also the strength people muster to resist hatred.
