[Candrama] Open Call for Nominations for the CATR Board

Title: Open call for CATR board nominations.



This is an open call for nominations for the following positions to be
filled at the upcoming AGM :



President

Vice-President

Quebec Rep

Alberta & Territories Rep (my position!)

Representative at Large (one position)

Graduate Student Rep

and (new) Unaffiliated Scholar Rep (contract/precariously
employed/under-employed or otherwise unaffiliated scholars)



Please submit your nominations by *January 31th* to the email address on
the nomination form. The full nomination form can be found on the CATR
website at this address: http://catracrt.ca/elections/ or by contacting the
Elections Officer, Matthew Jones (mf.jones at utoronto.ca), or the committee
president, David Owen (davidowen999 at gmail.com) for a copy.


*CATR/ACRT Nominations Committee Call for Candidates – 2020 Election*



The CATR/ACRT requires a Board of Directors that includes one
representative from each of the following geographical areas: Atlantic
Region, Québec, Ontario, Prairie Region, Alberta and the Territories, and
British Columbia. In addition, the Board will also include one francophone
representative, two graduate student representatives, two Representatives
at Large, and one Unaffiliated Scholar Representative.



*Election and Responsibilities*

·      The online election will be open to all current members.

·      The Board Executive meets annually prior to the conference, at least
twice throughout the year (via telephone conference call).

·      Individual members may be assigned other duties and serve on various
subcommittees as required.



*Nominations and Eligibility*

·      All candidates accepting nomination for the 2020 election should be
willing to serve a two-year term (2020 - 2022).

·      Current Board members cannot serve more than two consecutive terms
as the representative for the same position.

·      You may nominate non-members who are willing to join the
organization.

·      Please check with the nominee before moving forward with the
nomination process.
