[Candrama] Crake Fellow in Drama position at Mount Allison University

Mount Allison University is pleased to invite applications for the J.E.A. Crake Drama Fellowship for the academic year 2021-22
The Crake Drama Fellowship is supported by the J.E.A. Crake Foundation and is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and the successful candidate will contribute to a non-conservatory inter-disciplinary program in Drama Studies that supports an extensive season of theatrical production in one of Canada's top-ranked undergraduate universities.
The Fellow, an artist-scholar with the minimum qualification of an MFA or equivalent experience, will be asked to contribute, as part of a team of theatre professionals and academics, in ways appropriate to their qualifications and experience and, in particular: 1) teach two three-credit courses to be determined in consultation with the Director of Drama, including leadership of the DRAM 4011 course; 2) supervise student projects as a member of a teaching team in both semesters; and 3) provide a public presentation or an artistic outcome (normally, but not necessarily, a directed production).
The term of the appointment, from 15 August 2021 to 15 April 2022 would ideally be completed in Sackville; however, given Covid restrictions the role could be served either in Sackville or from afar. According to parameters established by the funding Foundation, the Drama Fellow will not undertake other paid employment during the academic semesters. There is the possibility of renewal for one further eight-month contract during the next academic year. Subject to budgetary approval, the Fellow will receive $33,250 per year plus benefits including moving expenses, an amount for professional development, and health and dental insurance.
