Dr. Zafirios D. Nikitas is a theatre scholar. He has published two monographs and over fifty articles in international and Greek peer-reviewed journals (Brecht Jarhbuch, Critical Stages, Synestesie etc.). He has taken part in Symposiums at Cambridge University, Freie Universität Berlin, Sapienza Università di Roma, University of Texas etc. He has received distinctions for his research, namely scholarships from the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation, Onaseio Foundation and Aristotle University. Besides theatre he studied law. His books: From Stanislavsky to Grotowski: Theatre Directors in Europe and From Brecht to Jelinek: German-Speaking Playwrights in Perspective.
