Vous êtes invités à la séance d'information sur la maîtrise en théâtre ("Théorie du théâtre et dramaturgie"),<https://catalogue.uottawa.ca/fr/etudes-sup/maitrise-arts-theatre/> du Département de théâtre de l'Université d'Ottawa.


Le M.A. en théâtre est un programme axé sur le domaine de la dramaturgie et de la théorie théâtrale. Il vise à créer des ponts entre les approches théoriques et pratiques du théâtre en encourageant le dialogue entre praticiens et théoriciens. Il permet aux étudiants d’élargir leur champ de connaissances en regard des spécificités épistémologiques et interdisciplinaires du théâtre en tant que forme d’art et discipline d’étude; il encourage l’analyse des principales traditions théâtrales occidentales selon diverses approches théoriques; il favorise une meilleure compréhension des principales traditions théâtrales du Canada et aide à développer un discours savant approprié pour chacune.


La thèse de maîtrise peut inclure

1. L’analyse d’un corpus (texte de théâtre, spectacle, notion théorique, etc.) s’appuyant sur une revue de la littérature savante pertinente, son analyse critique et sa synthèse (100 pages);

2. Un projet de création et son analyse critique. Le projet de création peut prendre plusieurs formes (traduction ou écriture d’une pièce; conception et exécution d’un spectacle de théâtre ; etc.). La partie analytique de la thèse doit faire autour de 50 pages.

La maîtrise en théâtre avec thèse s'étend sur 6 trimestres (deux ans).

You are invited to the information session about MA in Theatre (focus Theatre Theory and Dramaturgy)<https://catalogue.uottawa.ca/en/graduate/master-arts-theatre/>, offered by the Department of Theatre, University of Ottawa.


 The MA in Theatre option Thesis (two years) is focused on the fields of theatre theory and dramaturgy. The objective of this program is to bridge theoretical and practical approaches to the study of theatre by encouraging dialogue and understanding between practitioners and theoreticians. The program enables students to broaden their academic scope with regard to the epistemological and interdisciplinary specificities of theatre as an art form and as a discipline of study; it encourages the analysis of the Western world’s principal theatrical traditions from various discursive perspectives; it fosters a greater understanding of Canada’s two principal theatrical traditions and helps develop scholarly discourse in regards to each.


MA Thesis can include:

1. The analysis of a defined corpus (plays, performances, theoretical concepts, etc.) based on a review of relevant academic literature, its critical analysis and synthesis (100 pages);
2. Creative project and its critical analysis. The creative project can take many forms (translation of a play; writing a new play or performance script; devising and executing a live performance; etc.). The critical analysis part of the thesis should be around 50 pages.

The MA in Theatre with Thesis extends over 6 terms (two years).
