[Candrama] Celebration for Louise Forsyth

Dear Colleagues,

I am have been asked by Louise Forsyth's family to pass on this message and invitation (attached).

"We are having a celebration of life for Mom (Louise) that I would like to let you and anyone who might want to come know about. I realise a lot of Mom's friends are not in town and not likely to come but I did want to let friends know what we are doing. Mom did not want a funeral but she wanted us to have a beer and celebrate her life. Attached is the information. Please feel free to forward to anyone that you think might want to come."

I know that many of Louise's colleagues and friends won't be able to make it the event except in spirit, but if your path does take you through Calgary in mid-July, do think about dropping in to lift a beer with friends and family, and celebrate a rich life and a great spirit.

Best,
Moira

Subject: Celebration for Louise Forsyth

Hello Madeleine,

I received the following message and invitation (attached) from Stacy, Louise's daughter.

"We are having a celebration of life for Mom that I would like to let you and anyone who might want to come know about. I realise a lot of Mom's friends are not in town and not likely to come but I did want to let friends know what we are doing. Mom did not want a funeral but she wanted us to have a beer and celebrate her life. Attached is the information. Please feel free to forward to anyone that you think might want to come."

Can I ask you to pass on the invitation to any of Louise's friends in the Fransaskoise community? (I know that Marie Lovrod is passing it on to the people who knew Louise in Women and Gender Studies at USask). Since many of Louise's friends were also Ian's friends, this may be another opportunity to celebrate two wonderful people and their lives, while lifting a beer with them in spirit, at least one last time.

Those who are unable to attend may like to leave a note or memory for her family on her obituary page.

I'm very sorry to have to miss Ian's event - but I will be with you in spirit, and am planning to make it to Louise's gathering in July.

Hope to catch you at a quieter time this summer.

Best,
Moira
