Hello,

The Office of the Provost and Executive Vice-President (Academic) recently announced the 2024-2025 call for applications for the McGill Third Century (M3C) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship<https://www.mcgill.ca/equity/initiatives/m3c-postdoctoral-research-fellowships>. Submissions must be received on or before July 12, 2024 to be considered for the 2024-2025 cycle. The call for applications in English and French is attached.

A M3C Fellow is awarded $70,000 annually (plus benefits) and a yearly research allowance of $15,000. The Fellowship reflects McGill’s commitment to recruit and train exceptional emerging scholars from all disciplines, identities, and lived experiences.

The Program pursues two principal objectives:

1. It contributes to developing a pipeline of emerging scholars who are members of equity-deserving groups. Selected M3C fellows are promising prospective candidates for tenure-track positions at McGill or elsewhere following completion of the postdoctoral fellowship.

2. It boosts research into pressing and complex social and scientific questions, such as public health and health inequalities, Indigenous reconciliation and justice, civic participation and democratic engagement, data growth and privacy protection, trust in institutions, climate change and sustainability, migration and refugee displacement, income inequality, racial injustice, and food and housing insecurity.

Our goal is to spread the news of the fellowship to scholars from various identities and lived experiences. We would appreciate it if you would circulate this fellowship in your networks.

Bonjour,
