Sent on behalf of Jen Harvie:
Dear colleagues,
Professor Lois Weaver - legendary lesbian performance maker and co-founder of Split Britches - will soon be retiring from Queen Mary University of London. Filmmaker Claire Nolan<https://www.clairenolan.org/> and former QMUL Drama Technical Director Matt Delbridge are making a documentary film about Lois and her life partner and collaborator Peggy Shaw - aka Split Britches<https://www.split-britches.com/>. The film is now in post-production and Claire and Matt - both of whom have long worked with Lois and Peggy - are fundraising<https://gofund.me/16b12874> to get through this stage and into festivals and auditoria. I have been fortunate to see the film-in-progress and it is beautiful - a glorious ode to Lois, Peggy, Split Britches, and their work, archives, audiences, relationship, love, and more. I know it is not usually the role of this listserv to post information about fundraising. But I hope some here might want to contribute to this film project honouring and celebrating these extraordinary trailblazers of queer experimental performance. More info is here: https://gofund.me/16b12874
Thank you, Jen Harvie
