Dear Colleagues,
If you haven’t come across it yet, I’m writing to let you know that my book Alumnae Theatre Company: Nonprofessionalizing Theatre in Canada<https://utorontopress.com/9781487548261/alumnae-theatre-company> is now out, published by the University of Toronto Press. We had a great Fredericton book launch on Friday. Alumnae Theatre is presently organizing a Toronto book launch this June. It is a mainly archive-based study of the first 100 years of North American’s longest running women-led theatre company and begins a long-overdue conversation about nonprofessionalizing theatre practices in Canada. I’m grateful to Moira Day, Alan Filewod, Shelley Scott, and the staff at UTP, among many others, for their support of the book in print and behind the scenes.
Sincerely,
Robin.
