[Candrama] Release: ADHD-Centric Approach to Teaching Theatre and Dance Creation

Uni/conservatory programs in the performing arts attract students with attention differences, but the field lacks educational tools to centre these students' abilities and provide meaningful support. A team of dance, theatre, and edu psych researchers in Canada developed the practical strategies shared here to draw out the strengths of adult students with ADHD in ways that reduce barriers and build capacity. The approach is transferable to in-person courses and adaptable to experiential learning in other disciplines. We invite performing arts instructors to share with peers for inspiration, try out our strategies, and join us in bringing about positive change.
