Dear DNC colleagues,

Here is the announcement I've drafted for Alexie to share with faculty and staff on Wednesday:
On behalf of the Director Nominating Committee (DNC) for the School of Critical and Creative Humanities, I am pleased to inform you that the DNC is recommending Professor Jay Dolmage (English Language and Literature, Department Chair) for your consideration. Jay is pleased to move forward in this process, and is preparing to present to members of the School in the coming weeks. Following his presentation, faculty and staff members will be provided with an opportunity to indicate their support for the recommendation using confidential, online ballots. The DNC will consider the results of these ballots before voting on a committee recommendation that, if positive, will be shared with the Provost for approval.

Please stay tuned for an invitation to attend Jay's presentation.

Questions for you, DNC:

  * As I communicated earlier this week, Alexie will meet with Jay toward the end of this week to continue to work through the questions and feedback you provided at our last meeting and via email since then. Jay has indicated he will appreciate this feedback and the opportunity to address your questions and suggestions through his presentation to School members.

Additionally, I'd like to share with Jay the summary of the feedback we received from our early survey of School members. Question - any thoughts on sharing the survey feedback with Jay?

  * Jay has indicated his availability to present on April 27, 28, or 29. Question - might a few of you consult with one other and your department calendars to determine ideal dates/times for this presentation?

With thanks,

Andrea
