This message is being on behalf of Andrea Charette.
Dear DNC for SSPHR,
We've received input from some respondents so far, and no requests for meetings yet.
I'll send a reminder out later this week, with a deadline of Thursday, February 26th for online submissions and completion of any meetings that are requested (see note below about those).
Following the deadline, I'll share with committee members:
1. an organized document, with word-for-word responses to each question organized by respondent group (i.e.
Q1
Undergraduate student responses
o #1 submission
o #2 submission
o #3 submission
o and so on.....
Graduate student responses
o (again, numbered)
Staff responses
o same...
Faculty response
o and again...
Q2
And again, the same breakdown for Q2, and then Q3, etc.
1. AI-generated Summaries of Key Points for:
* each question (all responding groups included), and
* each responding group (all questions included)
1. an AI-generated Call for Nominations
I hope we can base our next steps on reading all of the submissions prior to our next meeting (I'll share them on Friday, February 27th), then using Summaries of Key Points to guide discussion at our next meeting, and the generated Call for Nominations as our first draft, to be adjusted and finalized.
Jasleen will reach out soon to schedule that next meeting (March 3rd or 4th?).
Beyond that meeting, I'll offer the following suggested timeline, which I realize is tight, but I hope manageable:
* issue the call for nominations by March 5th and provide a short turn-around/deadline (5 working days? - March 12th?)
* meet again (March 13th?) to discuss applications and shortlist candidates
* invite candidates for interviews (March 16-19?)
* meet again (March 20th?) to determine if we have one candidate (or more...) that we would like to recommend to School members
* Dean to meet with recommended candidate(s) for conversation (March 23-24)
* have candidate(s) present to School members (March 25-27)
* have School faculty and staff vote on recommendation (March 30-31)
* consider results of faculty and staff vote and run committee vote (April 1-2)
* inform candidate of results and forward committee recommendation to Provost for approval
Finally, re: any meetings that might be request with two committee members over the next couple of weeks....I wonder if that input can then be entered by the committee members via the survey? If we get any requests for meetings, we'll need to figure this out.
Regards,
Jasleen Kaur
