Dear Friend, 

As we get ready to start a new year, many of us will take pause and reflect on what we want to accomplish. 

We at Prostate Cancer Canada have an important goal for 2015 – to  <http://prostatecancer.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=381dca877e43c44046caa6dd1&id=663e16fb49&e=b7e2b89435> improve the early detection of prostate cancer.

This means increasing awareness of the risk of prostate cancer, ensuring that men have access to critical Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) tests, and investing in research to identify new tests and treatments.

It’s a fact - early detection of prostate cancer saves lives. Lives of men like Jim Yarrow.

Like a lot of men, Jim didn't really have any specific or significant symptoms when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Fortunately he was given a PSA test and that prompted action from his doctor. 

Jim has an aggressive cancer. He’s still in treatment – but it’s been 14 years since his diagnosis and without that PSA test who knows what might have happened?
