This past September marked Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.  With the help of supporters across the country, Prostate Cancer Canada was able to engage and inform Canadians about the importance of prevention, education and early detection of prostate cancer.  With events across Canada from coast to coast, flag raisings, blue illuminations of landmarks including Niagara Falls, Halifax City Hall, and BC Place, there were plenty of highlights. Sock it to Prostate Cancer

Socks, everywhere

1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, and Prostate Cancer Canada is honoured to have caring individuals from across the country advocating awareness about the risks of this disease one pair of socks at a time.

To help raise awareness of prostate cancer during September, we enlisted the support of influential Canadians with backgrounds in media, sports and politics who wore and shared the socks on television and through photos on social media such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram – the campaign resulted in our awareness messaging being exposed to hundreds of thousands of Canadians!
