Subject: New Biopsy Procedure at PMCC vs doing it twice

You may already know this, but PMCC's biopsy procedure at the clinic is now using the MRI over at TGH that records the location (dynamic movement) of the prostate cancer and then placing the 'pattern' within the Fusion scope, in parallel  with the Ultrasound to pinpoint the cancer cores and take the appropriate samples. The waiting list is over 26 individuals and growing. This will be the method in the future. The doctor responsible for this program is Dr. Ghai; all existing personnel (Doctors) will have to learn and switch over using this procedure. 

 

Additionally, at this time no Brachytherapy is being performed until a replacement is found for Dr. Elantholi Parameswaran (Sabish) who moved to Victoria B.C.
