Prostate Cancer Study

 

We are currently conducting a study about Prostate Cancer and we are hoping
to better understand the experiences of people with Prostate Cancer and
their Caregivers.

We are looking for patients & their caregivers who did receive treatment to
lower their hormone levels; either an orchiectomy or hormonal therapy.

 

Below is the link to the survey which will help us determine your
eligibility for this study. Once we receive your answers, we will contact
you if you qualify.

TOUCH POINT TELEPHONE INTERVIEW -125 CAD 

The study involves participation in 60 minute telephone interviews which
will be facilitated by an experienced healthcare moderator. Past
participants have commented that the experience allowed them to gain a
deeper understanding of themselves and that they appreciated the opportunity
to express themselves in a special way. These interviews will be scheduled
at a date and time that are convenient for you.  

 

WRITTEN JOURNAL - 400 CAD 

The study involves participation in a [5] day journal, similar to a personal
diary, except that each day you are given a unique exercise to complete over
5 days. The average time to complete the journal is 5 hours in total over
the course of 7 to 10 days. The exercises may ask you to reflect on your
personal story and your thoughts and feelings about prostate cancer. Past
participants have commented that the experience allowed them to gain a
deeper understanding of themselves and that they appreciated the opportunity
to express themselves in a special way.  

 

At any time during the process you can withdraw if you no longer want to
continue.  Your responses are confidential, and there will be no follow-up
or attempt to sell you anything.  Once you return the completed journal, you
will be paid an honorarium as a thank you for your time.

Honorarium will be mailed out to your preferred address if you qualify and
complete the entire study.
