We have a new resource! "Should I get screened for prostate cancer? What you should know about the PSA test" is now available on our website for viewing, downloading and ordering for free in English and French.

This brochure answers commonly asked questions about the PSA test, used to screen for prostate cancer. It includes information about who is at risk for prostate cancer, how testing works, the advantages and disadvantages of the test and what the results can mean. It has been designed for men who have questions about PSA testing and for physicians to use with, or distribute to, their patients.

Stanfield's Pants Off for Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer Canada Atlantic Region would like to thank everyone who supported and participated in Stanfield's Pants Off for Prostate Cancer.

It was billed a night of #GoodCleanFun - and it did not disappoint! By supporting Pants Off Halifax, you help us reach our goals to fund research that will uncover better diagnostic and treatment options, and to provide comprehensive support services to men and their families impacted by prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to affect Canadian men. 1 in 8 will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Prostate Cancer Canada recommends that men get a PSA test in their 40's to establish a baseline.

The Inaugural AECON Cup hits Cambridge!

Fourteen recreational adult hockey teams came together for a great cause. There was lots of on-ice action over the two days at Cambridge Sports Park, and off the ice, fundraising was top shelf! The teams raised over $27,000 for Prostate Cancer Canada. This 3rd party event is sure to become an annual tournament and PCC is grateful to all the support received by AECON, participants, volunteers and sponsors.
