Reminder
We are now in our new location at the Inn of Waterloo at 475 King St N. The HopeSpring main entrance will be at the back of the Inn, with those who need an accessible entrance free to use the Inn's main doors.
October Fundraising Goal
At just under halfway through the month, we're already halfway to our goal for the month at $11,560. Ticket sales for the HopeSpring Holiday Tour of Homes have started and presales are going well!
Another big thank you to Moparfest and Michelle and Patt Conway Schertzer for their fundraiser. They raised $3,204.70 to help support HopeSpring!

This Wednesday, join a Grand River Regional Cancer Centre oncology dietitian to discuss the impact of nutrition on breast cancer
In this program, you will increase your knowledge related to the role of nutrition and breast cancer. Suggestions for dietary changes to help in the prevention and/or recurrence of breast cancer are covered. Other topics include the impacts of healthy eating and weight, supplements, alcohol, physical activity, phytoestrogens, organic foods, calcium and Vitamin D. Puddle Jumpers
Happy Hallowe'en - Show us your Hallowe'en costume!
Puddle Jumpers is a group-based supportive care program lead by Christine, our certified Child Life Specialist, for children aged 5 to 13. Each class has therapeutic lesson goals to help your child(ren) cope with a cancer diagnosis. We talk about really tough stuff and then engage in a fun age appropriate themed activity that help improve their understanding of cancer and addresses both their informational and emotional support needs.

Healing Journey 1: Coping with Cancer Stress
Last Call for the Fall Session
The Healing Journey is a comprehensive 2-level coping skills program that provides emotional support, coping strategies and opportunities to network with others. Delivered by experienced professionals, the Healing Journey is a wide-ranging program that includes both small-and-large-group formats, opportunities for discussion and cancer and its impact, demonstration and practice of proving coping strategies and discussion of the spiritual dimensions of cancer.
This four-week week program. Commitment to attend all four sessions is required. The Healing Journey One is a good starter program for new members. Let us help you in your healing journey.

Ease into your weekend with this great stress management exercise
This is a gentle yoga to help exercise control over physical and emotional well-being by combining movements, breathing, stretching, body poses and meditation practice. This program is specifically for patients who have significant adverse physical symptoms (e.g., pain, instability, mobility problems due to surgery) that requires an especially gentle style of yoga that can be modified to each member's needs. The primary objective of this type of yoga session is symptom relief.
