September Fundraising Goal

We ended the first full week of September a quarter of the way to our September goal at $5,400. That is great news! We are grateful to our board chair, Shuchanna, who ran her Triathlon Saturday, September 2 and is still accepting donations until the end of the month, and Andrew Hare for Andrew's Walk on Saturday, September 9.

We're also selling HBC Giving Day (September 15th!) tickets for $5 each, with the price of each ticket bought at HopeSpring coming directly to us.

We appreciate all your support. Donations are always gratefully accepted through our <http://hopespring.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=245009009133a608181d89b73&id=a886dffb1e&e=ece80c31c3> CanadaHelps, or calling in 519-742-4673 to make a donation by credit card or in person.

Open Appointments

Three Reiki and two massage appointments available - first come, first served

Reiki is an ancient healing technique. It is a treatment in which healing energy is channeled from the practitioner to the patient who is sitting or lying quietly to enhance energy and reduce stress, pain, and fatigue. Reiki is a simple procedure, consisting of calm and concentrated touching, with the practitioner focusing on healing and giving energy to specific areas on the receiver's body.

Imagine a place where pressure is felt only during a massage! A traditional massage is given by a Registered Massage Therapist to reduce both anxiety and stress. Our massage therapy is now being offered to both patients and caregivers. Patients will be asked to get a signed authorization from their oncologist. Caregivers will be asked to complete a medical form on their first visit.

In this workshop, we will explore the impact of a negative body image on self-esteem of a negative body image on self-esteem and identify strategies to assist you in developing a healthy body image. If you have concerns or questions about your body image, this workshop will allow you to talk openly with a health care professional.
