April Fundraising Goal
A big thank you to Traudie Kauntz owner of Household China and Gifts for her matching gift of all donations received last week. With the $10,000 match we have opened April with $42,413. April is the end of our fiscal year 2017-2018. Let's make this month count!

In this interactive session, Jean will introduce you to two websites that cover the same topic. See if you can spot which one is providing facts and which one is fiction. Jean highlights the rules to use in your internet searches to help you determine what’s credible and what’s not.

A warm friendly group setting for women facing all cancers
Support among the group is offered, tips are shared and strategies for coping discussed. A wide range of on top of mind topics are discussed each week including everyday life events, past, present or future. Come discuss concerns about your future cancer treatments, eating problems and relationship issues. The group is warm and friendly and a good social circle for women with cancer.

Look Good Feel Better Workshop
For women in the first year of a cancer diagnosis
This program is offered by the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association Foundation. It is a coping skills workshop that helps women manage the appearance-related side-effects of treatment, such as hair loss and changes to skin tone. Trained cosmeticians and hair replacement professionals teach skin care, cover-up and hair alternatives, and provide solutions for women to look good and feel better. Participants are given a complimentary kit of cosmetics and personal care products for use at home.

Waterloo Meditation
Learn how to exercise control over your thoughts and emotions
Meditation has been used as a means to achieve healthy thought management by exercising control over thoughts and emotions. In this group program, cancer patients and caregivers are taught mindfulness meditation exercises and are encouraged to practice them at home to the greatest extent possible based on interest and health. This program is especially suited to members who are trying meditation for the first time.
