HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY Our February get-together will be on: 

  

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 21st - 7:00 PM  at the WELLSPRING CENTRE, 2545 SIXTH LINE in OAKVILLE

 

 

Continuing our run of high quality guest speakers, this month we will have Dr Bobby Shayegan. 

 

Dr. Shayegan  is a Urologic Oncologist at St Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton and an associate professor at McMaster University.

He is a 2004 urology graduate of the University of Toronto.

 

More particularly, Dr. Shayegan is also the clinical director of the Boris Family Centre for Robotic Surgery and is the most well-known and experienced practitioner of ‘Da Vinci’ robotic surgery for prostate cancer in Canada.

 

Our regular meeting attendees will know that a few of our members have had their cancer treated by Dr Shayegan and we are grateful to Brian Ray for having facilitated his attendance at our meeting this month.

 

Here is a chance to understand the pros and cons of this procedure, to understand the controversy over cost vs benefits, and to ask your questions. No doubt, as usually happens, our questions will extend over the whole range of PC issues and I’m sure Dr Shayegan has the experience to answer them.

 

I look forward to seeing you on the 21st.
