In partnership with the Holiday Tour of Homes, HopeSpring is opening our doors to the community, our friends and supporters!  Stop by to see our new space at The Inn of Waterloo.  We have a special raffle, treats and sweets (our very own tea!) and unique ways for you to support HopeSpring and the valuable services we offer to those haloed by the cancer journey.  We are so blessed that Meadow Acres has generously donated their design expertise and has decorated the HopeSpring space for the holiday season!

We are excited to launch our 1st Annual HopeSpring WISHING TREE!

During the holiday season, we are welcoming our supporters to purchase a special oragami gilded gold ornament as a symbolic gesture of hope for our current members, those who have used our services in the past, those who have lost their battle to cancer and for those who are resilient and survivors.  You can write a message, a name, a word of encouragement and attach it to the ornament.  

The ornament is available for purchase beginning this Friday for only $20.00. There are a limited # of ornaments available.

"In ancient Japanese tradition it is believed that by folding 1,000 origami paper cranes, you get a chance for a wish to come true! Cranes are considered to be mystical creatures that represent longevity and happiness, they also have the ability to carry one’s wish or prayer up to the heavens. As such, the tradition of Senbazuru (the Japanese word for 1,000 cranes) utilizes this bird with the simple belief that gathering 1,000 cranes, your wish will be carried up to the heavens on the wings of the crane and be granted. Senbazuru has become the symbol of happiness, hope and healing through difficult times."

Canadian-born Paul Mason is one of the country’s most famous male models. He was discovered at the age of 22 while attending Toronto’s Ryerson University for a degree in social work. Paul Mason has walked the runways of London, Paris, Tokyo, Milan and New York, and walked for designers such as Gianni Versace, Dior, Dolce & Gabanna and Armani. On the Canadian scene, he has served as the face of Toronto Men’s Fashion Week, and he has walked for Rudsak, Farley Chatto, Bustle, Joseph Tassoni, and is the regular opener for Canadian Men’s designer, Christopher Bates.

"I'm so looking forward to partner with HopeSpring Cancer Centre and the 17th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes. Fashion Santa represents joy, cheer and hope so it's only fitting to be part of such an exciting event that benefits those affected by cancer through the free services that HopeSpring offers.  I am approached to be a part of many charitable events – however, HopeSpring aligned very closely to my personal values and beliefs in regards to the cancer journey and cancer support.
