Hi all:
As you may know, PCC has announced a change in the recommendations for PSA
screening for Prostate Cancer.
These updated recommendations are an endorsement of the Canadian Urological
Association pronouncement.
See below.
Prostate Cancer Canada updates its recommendations on the PSA test

est
PCC has endorsed the recommendations of the Canadian Urological Association
<http://www.cua.org/themes/web/assets/files/4888.pdf> . There is a lot more
detail in their paper if you are so interested.
Attached is the previous PSA Testing as reference to see the change in
recommendation.
The change is in spite of the literature from PCC showing that it is now 1
in 7 instead of 1 in 8 men who will be diagnosed with PCa in their lifetime.
Google "new breast cancer screening guidelines" to see similar changes for
breast cancer screening.
BTW there has been a large petition circulating against the breast cancer
screening changes.
Be informed and promote being "your own advocate" amongst your network.
Take care,
Glen
