Sorry folks. I am not having any luck this year when scheduling guest
speakers.

 

Dr. Andrew Feifer from Credit Valley has cancelled on us for the third time
this year. Needless to say I won't be trying to reschedule for a fourth
time.


No problem however. We always have new things to talk about, new people to
meet and new challenges to overcome.

We will have an open discussion evening on the 19th where we can share our
experiences and issues.

We have had six new men join our group so far this year and I hope we will
see more next week. I keep reminding myself that this is what we are all
about - supporting each other - and that guest speakers are just the icing
on the cake.

 

If we run out of things to talk about (not that it happens often), I'd like
to talk a bit more about hormone therapy and the newer drugs that are
available these days.

Last month we had a speaker on approval of and access to drugs for cancer. I
also went to Brampton where Dr. Loblaw talked about "Hormone Therapy for
PC". However, neither got 'back to basics' and I'd like to have a go at
that.

Maybe this month or next. Many of you have great experience here so it can
be a learning experience for all of us.
