Holiday Message of
HOPE from HopeSpring   

Dear Donors, Hopesters and Friends of HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre!

We can all agree that 2020 turned into a year that none of us expected. It has challenged us, pushed us and stretched us in ways we never imagined. And in

some ways, it has humbled us and given us time to reflect on our lives and how

we choose to live them.

The Pandemic blew in with the March winds of 2020...

And life as we knew it, changed; the HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre team quickly shifted gears to the new conditions by offering our programs and services social distanced, and contact-free via Zoom.

Wig and camisole fittings continue virtually and are hand-delivered directly to our member’s homes – to date, we have driven thousands of kilometers to ensure that our members feel comfortable and are prepared for their cancer journey. Cancer Care Counselling has also evolved to include phone call and virtual sessions.

The participation rate of our programs during this time has increased by double digits – a sign that the virtual approach works and that HopeSpring's programs and services are a very valuable resource in the communities we serve.

Relationships with our medical partners have strengthened and there is great synergy in how we work together to better offer the services to anyone facing a cancer journey.

With 2021 just around the corner, a new year is generally a time for reflection, planning and hope. HOPE has always been and continues to be a part of the HopeSpring DNA – it is in our name and we live and breathe it every day.

With that in mind – we HOPE for brighter times ahead for those who lost jobs, for those who faced additional health hurdles, and for those who have been stressed, anxious and nervous about their futures. We see you, we honour you and we continue to be here for you. HOPE will get us through these challenging times.

For those who have supported us with a financial donation – thank YOU.

For those of you who offered support through your skill set, resources and time – thank YOU.

For those who checked-in to ensure we were ok – thank YOU.

May the holidays bring all of us some peace of mind, joy in our hearts and love amongst our family and friends.

For 2021 and moving forward – we know all of our lives will continue to evolve as humankind faces the pandemic together – each day we get closer to a life we once knew. And we hold this HOPE dear to our hearts. We send our best wishes for a safe, healthy and happy year ahead.
