Hi all:

See below for the HopeSpring weekly e-newsletter.

Of note is that the May monthly Prostate Cancer Support Group meeting will be held Tuesday 26 May 2020.

It will be a virtual meeting held on ZOOM starting at 1900hrs.

Vic, our I.T. guru, will generate an invitation to be sent to all our members.

If you know of any potential new members, share the invitation with them.

We will have a guest speaker, Marina Mourtzakis PhD, from the Department of Kinesiology at U Waterloo.

Her topic is “Living Healthy with Nutrition & Exercise Through COVID & Beyond”, & will include a Q & A session.

Plan to participate to keep connected to PCCN W-W & informed of our activities.

Take care & stay well,

Glen

Dear Glen,
This is what's happening remotely at HopeSpring this week.

Introducing A Note from Amy - our Cancer Care Counsellor will be providing supportive tips to you. We'll be sharing these first with you as subscribers to our weekly newsletter.

A Note from Amy, Cancer Care Counsellor

Here are a few things to keep you nourished during this difficult time we are all living through with COVID-19:

1.	Find a way each day to move; get outside for a stroll in your backyard, take a walk with your fur baby or simply step outside your front door and do some simple rejuvenating stretches outside.
2.	Remember to stay connected with loved ones, although we are practicing physical distancing staying connected is essential for each of us. Call your family and friends, arrange a video date, enjoy greeting your neighbours from your porch or balcony each day.
3.	Creating a sense of predictability is so important right now when there seems to be little or no structure to our days. Try scheduling something meaningful and productive which you can focus on and practice each and every day

Remember we are all in this together and we are here for you!
