Hi Tim,
The How to Build a Brain book was written using an older version of Nengo.
Fortunately, the content of the book is, if anything, easier to explore
with the new version of Nengo.
Sugandha Sharma converted the tutorials in the book to the new version of
Nengo; they can be found at https://github.com/s72sue/Nengo2-Tutorials . As
you're going through the book, you can follow along with the tutorials in
the book by using Su's tutorials; you can either download and run the
Jupyter notebooks, or copy-paste the Python code from the notebooks into
the Nengo GUI that you've already got up and running.
The Nengo manual is at http://pythonhosted.org/nengo/ . It has a set of
examples at http://pythonhosted.org/nengo/examples.html and hopefully any
other information that you might need.
If you notice any bugs, or if anything seems unclear and should be better
documented, please mail this list, or file an issue at
https://github.com/nengo/nengo/issues for the scripting language or at
https://github.com/nengo/nengo_gui/issues for issues with the graphical
interface. We welcome lots of feedback!
