[Ssphrstaff] Fw: All Campus Alert - Waterloo campus update

[Ian Milligan]

Hi all,

I assume you all get these ReGroup messages, but just in case there is an issue with the platform, I’ll forward this (mostly) relieving message.

Hope you all have a nice evening, and assuming we don’t hear otherwise about campus status, I look forward to seeing many of you in HH tomorrow afternoon for our first School Council (while there will be a hybrid option, cookies are not hybrid).

Ian

This is an official safety alert from the University of Waterloo:

Crews continue to work to address the sewer backup affecting Waterloo campus. Based on the information available at this time, we do not anticipate impacts to additional academic buildings.

We expect campus operations to resume as normal tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 25), with the exception of the Douglas Wright Engineering (DWE) building, which will remain closed and classes in this building cancelled.

We will provide a campus status update through ReGroup Mobile by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Please continue to monitor ReGroup and official University channels for the latest information.
