Seeking qualified candidates for a tenure track position as Assistant
Professor of Drama (Design), with emphasis on Scenic and Lighting
Design, beginning July 1, 1999, and subject to budgetary approval.

An MFA or equivalent , with evidence of a strong and successful teaching

background and a demonstrated record of research is required.
Professional theatre experience would be an asset.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses and will be
required to participate in the design and/or supervision of major
University Theatre productions.  The design and technical theatre
program combines theoretical and practical training to a wide variety of

students.  The curriculum is largely delivered in a team-taught format,
has strong ties to the major productions and a collaborative environment

is integral to the design, planning and realization of the program.

The School of Fine Arts, housed in the Centre for the Arts with
state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, offers degree programs in
Art, Drama, and Music within the liberal arts education context and
focuses on excellence in teaching and research/ creative activity.  For
