Seeking qualified candidates for a three year term position as Assistant

Professor of Multimedia, beginning July 1, 1999, and subject to
budgetary approval.

A Ph.D.,  MFA or equivalent terminal degree in Multimedia with a strong
background in the fine arts is required.

The School of Fine Arts plans to begin delivery in Setember 1999 of a
new and innovative progam leading to a BFA in Multimedia combining the
study of new and interactive technologies with the traditional Art,
Drama, and Music practices and theory.  The successful condidate will be

the first of a faculty team to instruct and assist in the development of

the curriculum and must be able to teach introductory courses and
possess specialties in Virtual Reality and/or 3-D Design.

The School of Fine Arts, housed in the Centre for the Arts with
state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, offers degree programs in
Art, Drama, and Music within the liberal arts education context and
focuses on excellence in teaching and research/ creative activity.  For
