CANADA ON THE THRESHOLD OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM

Russian Association for Canadian Studies, The Fifth International Biennial
Conference. Moscow, 24-27 June, 1999

The Russian Association for Canadian Studies invites Canadianists from all
over the world to take part in its Fifth International Conference "Canada
on the Threshold of the New Millennium," which will be held in Moscow on
June 24-26, 1999.

The Conference which marks the Tenth Anniversary of the Russian Association
of Canadian Studies, will also be the last such gathering of this century
and thus would be an excellent opportunity to take stock of Canada's past
and look ahead to its future, concentrating on Canada's major economic,
political and cultural developments.

A plenary meeting on the first day of the Conference would enable everyone
to hear and discuss papers on the key issues. On the second day,
participants would be able to discuss more specific issues in theme-based
meetings.

We welcome you to send your abstracts (up to 2 double-space typed pages in
English) and C.V. by February 1, 1999 to:
