 Tenure-track Position 
in Comparative Canadian Literature

The Université de Sherbrooke invites applications for a tenure-track
position in Comparative Canadian Literature. Appointment date: June 1, 1999.

Responsibilities
Teaching undergraduate courses in English Language and Literatures; teaching
graduate courses in Comparative Canadian Literature. Research in Comparative
Canadian Literature and in at least one of the following areas: Women's
Studies, Translation Theory, Postcolonial Studies, or Cultural Studies.
Supervision of master's and doctoral theses. Student supervision and program
administration.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in English, in Comparative Literature or in a related field.
Specialization in Comparative Canadian Literature and expertise in at least
one of the areas of secondary interest mentioned above. University-level
teaching experience in English Studies. Research and publications in areas
of specialization. Working knowledge of French.
