Stockwell Day on Culture

I'd be very surprised to hear that the Edmonton Fringe refused entry to
overtly Christian groups, since it doesn't (or at least used not to) do a
screening of material prior to production. It used to be a first-come,
first served, arrangement, augmented lately by a lottery. If a group was
refused, it may well have been refused special consideration to be given a
free ride around the rules? Several churches in the area have rented
venue spaces to the Fringe over the years, and I do know they have
requested that rather more extreme pieces (or pieces with extreme titles,
anyway) be housed elsewhere, and have been accommodated. Seems like Mr.
Day not only can't tell north from south, but in from out.
