ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - THEATRE HISTORY

The University of Lethbridge, Faculty of Fine Arts, Division of Theatre
and Dramatic Arts,
invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the
Assistant Professor level to teach
in the area of Theatre History, effective July1, 2001.

A PhD is required along with a demonstrated record of scholarly
research, publications,
productions, and excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will
teach the core courses in
theatre history including Canadian, Introduction to Dramatic Arts, and a
seminar series on a wide
range of performance and production topics, as well as, other courses
according to the
programme needs and the instructor’s interest and expertise.
Additionally, the successful
candidate must have the desire and ability to participate in the
development and operation of the
Division of Dramatic Arts and the Faculty.

The Faculty of Fine Arts, housed in the Centre for the Arts with
state-of-the-art equipment and
facilities, offers degree programs in Music, Art, Drama, and Multimedia
within the liberal arts
education context and focuses on excellence in teaching and research/
creative activity. Founded
in 1967, the University is located in southern Alberta, and has an
enrolment of more than 6000
