dear lee:

congratulations on the grant. that's terrific news. it was a dream of
ctr publications to ensure that the gathering of such materials was
done.

can i suggest that you call the project something other than canadian
theatre record. the london theatre record is a well-known international
publication that compiles only theatre reviews. you don't want to
confuse the two and at this early point in time it makes sense to
perhaps change the name here.

do also make use of the dozen or so annual volumes of Canada On Stage
published from 1974 on. i believe the archives are at york.

regards

Not only that, we got all the money we asked for, and have been invited to apply for a second year of funding!

In the first year we're tackling 4 companies: Citadel Theatre (Edmonton), Neptune Theatre Halifax), Tarragon Theatre (Toronto) and Théâtre du Nouveau Monde (Montréal). The database is scheduled to be up and running by March 31, 2002.
